Storm Ciara

The waters of the River Ouse passing through York breach the river banks flooding some properties and areas along the riverside.

As Storm Ciara moves away from the country across Europe some of the rain that fell during the storm has now made its way down stream into the rivers causing water levels to rise.

Several weather alerts for flooding remain in place in York. Another named storm, ‘Storm Dennis’ is due to arrive across the country this weekend potentially bringing further disruption.
