The 159th Great Yorkshire Show took place today in Harrogate, England.
Held annually the Great Yorkshire Show is the UK’s premier agricultural event and brings together agricultural displays, livestock events, farming demonstrations, food, dairy and produce stands as well as a range of equestrian events to the thousands of visitors who attend the popular show over three days to celebrate the farming and agricultural community and the country way of life.
Day one of the show this year was accompanied by heavy rain throughout but the forecast looks to be improving slightly over the next two days but regardless of the weather, as a photographer it always offers pretty decent picture opportunities. I was on shift for The Northern Echo today and below are some of the pictures from a wet and muddy Yorkshire show ground from the first and a somewhat drier final day.
