Held annually in the picturesque surroundings of Duncombe Park in North Yorkshire the Duncombe Park Steam Rally attracts over forty full size steam and traction engines as well as miniature engines, tractors, vintage cars and motorcycles and a range of vintage vehicles over the two-day event.
Worth a look if you get the chance. Here’s a few pictures from today.
Kit corner: All the pictures above were shot using a pair 0f Leica M9 digital cameras. One fitter with a 35mm f2 Summicron lens and the other with a 50mm f2 Summicron lens.
Both lenses had a 3-stop neutral density filter fitted to let me shoot wide open in the bright sun without maxing out my top shutter speed which is 4000th of a second on these cameras.
Spare batteries and memory cards, notebook, a paint brush and a chamois leather cloth were carried in a pair of Domke pouches.
