Christian Nock, 39, is taking on the challenge of a lifetime to raise money for Help for Heroes, and to raise awareness about homelessness amongst ex-forces personnel. It is believed that around one in ten of homeless people on the UK’s streets have a military connection… Homeless Ex-Servicemen

Having started on August 8 last year Christian has walked around the coast of Wales, and all the way down to Land’s End before following the south coast to Dover and Folkestone before turning north along the east coast following the coastline before arriving in Saltburn, Cleveland on the 332 day of his journey.

Starting and finishing in Blackpool the journey is approximately 6500 miles and is expected to take anywhere between a year and a half and two years to complete.

Having spent eight years in the army’s Staffordshire Regiment – including four tours of Northern Ireland – Christian was running a hotel in Blackpool when he decided to sell all his possessions and take on his mammoth walk – which he says has been harder than he ever expected.

So keep your eye out for him as he passes through your part of the coast, give him a wave, shake his hand or even donate if you can or are able via the links below and wish him well on a worthy and challenging journey.
