These are some of the best surf images I think you’ve taken. The light is great. These really show how serious surf is in the North East. Cold heavy water. Guy in barrel with hands behind back, very cool! Is that Evan pig-dogging backhand.Fantastic take off shots. Shows how fast you need to be at this spot. Unforgiving, poor lad being pitched by lip. Hope he was ok. These really give a sense of excitement. Making me smile as I write UCAS references. Cheers Ian. I can still dream!!

    Cheers Graham,
Not for the feint hearted this sesh mate! There were some great waves coming through and some quality surfers also. A few boards paid the price but to my knowledge all those that went in….came out again. Including the wipe out guy!

    Cheers,

    Hi,

Best session of my life last Sunday. I’d been waiting 5 months for this day, I knew it would come.

Incidentally, I’m the bodyboarder in the foreground, paddling back out in images 16 and 18. I had a white board, pale blue slick, no hood or gloves, orange tips on grey swimfins if you should happen to have any extra shots not on your blog.

Fabulous shots – up there with the best I’ve ever seen out of the UK.
