I don’t know who Arthur Stephenson was. I don’t know what he did during his life or where his journey through that life took him. I have no idea if he was a decent man or a bad man, or whether he was brave or cowardly, rich or poor. But I’m guessing, by the memorial to him on a cliff top overlooking the North Sea near Port Mulgrave that he was an OK bloke.
If you’re going to have a memorial put anywhere…this seems like a great place!
