The ‘In out of the Cold‘ event took place today in the Town Hall in Middlesbrough, Cleveland.
The event, now in it’s second year, offered hot food, helpful information and entertainment to homeless people. It also gave organisations and agencies, such as community groups and housing organisations an opportunity to come together and offer assistance to those in need and to help tackle homelessness in the region. Co-ordinated by Middlesbrough council and staffed by volunteers from the different agencies those attending were provided with clothing, hot food and ‘shoe-box’ presents, each containing toiletries, hats and gloves and other items of clothing that had been donated over the previous weeks leading up to the event.
