Puma Down

A British military Puma helicopter made a crash landing in a field close to residential homes near Andover recently. Landing only metres away from homes and an industrial estate the helicopter came down hard in the field and came to rest on its side.

All the crew members escaped without serious injury and crash investigators are now looking into the cause of the crash.

After driving around the outskirts of the industrial estate a couple of times looking for what I thought might be tell tale signs of a helicopter crash….a bit of smoke, sirens and flashing lights, cordons, helicopters above the scene etc – and finding nothing – I eventually found the crash site after a tip off from a builder and I got the chance to shoot a few…
