Many people will have heard of The White Helmets Motorcycle Display Team. They attend many of the large public events throughout the year showing off their bike skills on classic old Triumph motorbikes. The origins of the team go back to the early military dispatch riders, when radio communications were not as advanced as they are today, and they carried important military messages and orders between different locations.
The team is made up from soldiers from the Royal Signals and each team member, once selected for the team, undergoes an intensive preparation routine to become proficient in the bike skills needed to make the show look as impressive as it is. This training takes place each day and each of the various tricks and routines demonstrated in the show are practiced over and over until they are perfected.
